Area 12 Agency on Aging

The Area 12 Agency on Aging serves five central California counties, providing services to approximately 54,000 older adults. It is part of an aging network which includes 33 Area Agencies on Aging statewide and over 675 nationwide. Their website serves as a platform for publishing information about the programs and services provided by the agency. It is also used to publish events, meeting agendas and minutes, legislative updates and relevant news of interest to the agency’s community.

The most recent redesign, launched in September 2025, complies with WCAG usability standards for visually impaired visitors, including the ability to effectively use the website with screen reader software. Prior to the redesign, Webdancers conducted a User Experience Survey, to gather information about users’ feelings, thoughts, and behaviors related to their use of the Area 12 website. This survey informed many of the changes made to the site’s content, design and structure.
