Con Amor Building Bridges
Con Amor Building Bridges is a non-profit whose mission is to build community capacity in a culturally responsive manner. Their primary activities include:
- Cinco de Mayo. This multi-day event celebrates Mexico’s victory over the French in 1862 and was first celebrated in the US in the Gold Rush town of Columbia, CA, which is located in Con Amor’s home county.
- Building Bridges. This project focuses on a series of community conversations, leading to greater understanding between people with differing points of view. Con Amor partners with Braver Angels, a national organization dedicated to bridging the political divide.
